Baybayin or Alibata: Original Filipino Script

This site provides information on the Filipino original script, Baybayin. Prior to the arrival of the Spanish in the Philippines, the Bayabyin form of wrtiing was used in many place in the Philippines. Due to conquest and colonization, the wrting system was replaced by the Roman alphabet. Visit the Baybayin site to discover an almost forgotten treasure. The site also provides a translation tool to convert Tagalog (main dialect in the Philippines)words into Baybayin script.
